3. Name of the register
Integration promotion at the Uusimaa Centre for Economic Development, Transport and the Environment.
4. Purpose of processing personal data
The data is processed in order to develop, organise and plan integration measures, events and networking at the Employment and Integration Unit of the Uusimaa Centre for Economic Development, Transport and the Environment.
The activities of the unit include collecting information through electronic surveys and interviews, organising webinars, seminars, training, consultations and workshops, and sharing information through e.g. social media, newsletters and mailing lists. As a result of these activities, personal data registers are formed, the processing of which is based on monitoring how the objectives of the unit’s integration work are achieved, how the unit’s networking is managed and developed, and on the consent given by the subject of the data or the realisation of the legitimate interests of the registrar. Access to the register is restricted to those people in the unit who require it for the performance of their duties.
5. Data contents of the register
The register contains the following data that are in accordance with their purpose of use:
mailing list for sending newsletters and using mailing lists (email address)
registration information for training, workshops and other events (name, email, telephone number, employer or organization, title and diet)
responses to interviews or electronic questionnaires (name, email, telephone number, employer or organization, title)

The sources for the data are the respondents themselves.
7. Regular disclosure of data
The personal data provided by subjects are for the registrar’s internal use. The personal data are for the registrar’s internal use and will not be disclosed to any third parties. The registrar processes personal data in accordance with the privacy legislation in force at any given time.
The registrar is committed to protecting the privacy of data subjects in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation of the EU (EU 2016/679), the Finnish Data Protection Act (1050/2018), the Finnish Act on the Openness of Government Activities (621/1999) and the Finnish Information Society Code (917/2014), as well as other applicable legislation.

Only those employees of the Uusimaa Centre for Economic Development, Transport and the Environment who have the right to process the data due to their employment are entitled to use the data.
10. Rights of the data subject
The data subject has the right to inspect the data concerning them and to demand the correction or deletion of the data by submitting a written request to the Uusimaa Centre for Economic Development, Transport and the Environment. The person also has the right to withdraw their consent to the processing of their data by notifying the registrar in writing.
11. Data retention period
The registrar will only retain the data for as long as is necessary for the purposes of the register.
12. Complaint to the Data Protection Ombudsman
If necessary, you can lodge a complaint about the processing of your data with the Data Protection Ombudsman.
