Code Bootcampilla etsitään uusia tapoja ratkaista teknologiaosaajatarvetta alueen yrityksissä (Pohjanmaa, Keski-Pohjanmaa)

Pohjanmaan ELY-keskusalueella (Pohjanmaa, Keski-Pohjanmaa) on pulaa osaavasta työvoimasta, myös teollisuuden IT-osaajista/koodareista. Pohjanmaan ELY-keskus ja TE-toimisto sekä Saranen Consulting ovat käynnistämässä uudenlaista pilottia, jolla etsitään uusia tapoja ratkaista teknologiaosaajatarvetta alueen yrityksissä.

Code Bootcamp Pohjanmaa -pilotti on englanninkielisenä toteutettava yrityslähtöinen koulutus, jossa ohjelmistokehityksen intensiivikoulutuksen aikana lisätään työnhakija-asiakkaiden osaamistasoa, kartoitetaan vahvuudet ja etsitään yhteistyöyrityksistä jatkopolkua, johon voidaan työllistyä joko suoraan tai esimerkiksi RekryKoulutuksen kautta.

Kohdeyrityksiä on mukana niin ICT-alalta kuin muiltakin toimialoilta. Pohjanmaan vahva vientiteollisuus ja sitä palvelevat teknologiayritykset ovat kohderyhmä, jota osaajapulaa ratkova pilotti erityisesti palvelee. Mukana olevia yrityksiä ovat mm. TK Engineering, Skycode ja Wapice. Yhteistyöyrityksiä mahtuu vielä mukaan. Koulutus toteutetaan englanninkielisenä. Esimerkiksi alueen korkeakouluista valmistuneet kv-taustaiset huippuosaajat, jotka eivät vielä opintojen aikana ole löytäneet työpaikkaa alueen yrityksistä, voivat löytää uran pilotin avulla.

- Etsimme alanvaihtajia, työttömyysuhanalaisia ja työttömiä sekä esimerkiksi sellaisia henkilöitä, joilla on koodausosaamista aiemman uran tai esimerkiksi harrastuneisuuden kautta. Tärkeintä on kuitenkin kiinnostus ja halu oppia ja päivittää teknologiaosaamista, ja näin päästä töihin kasvualalle. Vetovoimainen vientiteollisuus ja sen arvoketjut tarjoavat uramahdollisuuksia ja toisaalta tarve osaajille on merkittävä. Tarvitsemme kaikki toimijat mukaan ja erilaisia malleja, joilla voimme yhteistyössä varmistaa yritysten kasvun selättämällä teknologiaosaajapulaa ja vahvistamalla alueen pito- ja vetovoimaa”, kertoo Business Development Manager Pauliina Harrivaara Saranen Consultingilta.

Viiden viikon mittainen intensiivikoulutus käynnistyy 12.10.2021. Kohderyhmänä ovat sekä kansainväliset osaajat alueella että suomen- ja ruotsinkieliset osaajat.

Code Bootcamp is looking for new ways of solving the need for technology experts in companies operating in the region (Ostrobothnia, Central Ostrobothnia)

In the Ostrobothnia ELY Centre area (Ostrobothnia, Central Ostrobothnia), is experiencing a shortage of skilled workforce, including industrial IT experts/coders. The South Ostrobothnia ELY Centre, the TE Office and Saranen Consulting are launching a new kind of pilot programme to find new ways of solving the need for technology experts in the region’s companies.

The Code Bootcamp Ostrobothnia pilot is a business-oriented training carried out in English in which the competence level of jobseeker customers will be increased through intensive software development training with their strengths being reviewed and further employment paths being sought in cooperation companies, either directly or through the RekryKoulutus training.

The companies involved include enterprises from the ICT sector as well as from other fields. Ostrobothnia’s strong export industry and the technology companies serving it will be the target group that the pilot programme intending to solve the expert shortage serves in particular. The companies involved include TK Engineering, Skycode and Wapice. There is still room for cooperation companies. The training will be provided in English. For example, top international experts who have graduated from the region’s higher education institutions and have not yet found a job at the region’s companies can find a career with the help of this pilot.

- We are looking for people changing careers, unemployed people and people at risk of unemployment, as well as those who have coding skills acquired either through previous careers or a programming hobby, for example. The most important thing, however, is an interest and willingness to learn something new, to update one’s technology expertise and, thereby, to get a job in a growth sector. An attractive export industry and its value chains offer career opportunities, and, at the same time, the need for experts is significant. We need to involve all actors and various models that we can use in cooperation with them to ensure the growth of companies by tackling the shortage of technology experts and by strengthening the attraction of the region and its ability to hold labour supply", says Business Development Manager Pauliina Harrivaara at Saranen Consulting.

The five-week intensive training will start on 12 October 2021. Our target group is both international and Finnish and Swedish-speaking experts in the region.
