Why Ostrobothnia and Central Ostrobothnia?

The Ostrobothnia regions are diverse with employment opportunities and will experience substantial investments particurarly in the clean energy sector in the near future. This means that the regions will be offering even more job opportunities for experts, in the fields of construction and manufacturing. Additionally the regions offer employment in the fields of healthcare, service and agriculture.

Current expected investments in the regions range up to 14 billion euros between 2023 and 2027, largest in Finland per capita. The said investments include e.g. wind power projects, maritime port developments, hydrogen plants, an accumulator cell factory, a nickel refinery, a lithium chemical factory and more.
