VAMK University of Applied Sciences, Ostrobothnian TE-office and ELY-center are organizing a webinar on your rights and obligations at Finnish work life. You will hear about real life experiences, what to consider when signing a work contract, how to handle discrimination at workplace and finally how to recognize labour exploitation.

After the webinar you will know what to do if you suspect labour exploitation and what is meant by human trafficking.

Speakers

Francis Oyeyiola

Francis is working as a Talent Coach at VAMK University of Applied Sciences in Vaasa.

Martti Paavilainen

Martti Paavilainen is a Trade Union Officer (Bargaining Specialist) working for the Finnish Industrial Union. Martti is a specialist on terms and conditions of working life. He is used to work with foreign members of the union and has experience on multinational cooperation.

Nina Stubb

Nina Stubb studied international law and has worked with the UN, OSCE and the Finnish Red Cross. She has also worked as an ombudsperson and negotiator in the union. She is currently a consultant on DEI (diversity, equity and inclusion) and occasionally serves as a facilitator for anti-racism workshops.

Virve Leskinen

Virve Leskinen works as a labour inspector at the Occupational Safety and Health Administration focusing on inspecting the use of foreign labour.

Mari Ek

Mari Ek works as an Advisor for the National Assistance System for Victims of Human Trafficking (NAS), a government agency responsible for helping victims of human trafficking, and a national Centre of Excellence focusing on issues against human trafficking.
